Police arrest contractor in connection with the death of three workers in Ranjangaon MIDC

PUNE: A contractor has been arrested in connection with the death of three workers in Ranjangaon MIDC. The three workers have died due to suffocation.

The arrested contractor has been sent to police custody for the next three days. The arrested contractor has been identified as Gajanan Kurambatti (40), residing in Wagholi, a native of Nanded.

The names of the workers who died in this incident are Nitin Prabhakar Goud (45), Ganesh Paikrao (40), resident of Wagholi, a native of Nanded, and Satish Kumar Nathuram Valmik (40), native of Uttar Pradesh. Kurambatti is the original contractor of this project. He went to his native village for Diwali after employing workers on this site, while working on Padwa day, these three laborers died of suffocation on the contract site.
