PUNE: A set of criminals who have not been caught by the police in the last two years because of their routine of arriving late at night, sleeping in a makeshift room, and waking up early in the morning to commit crimes and robberies. However, when one of the criminals went to the hospital to get treatment, all three accused fell into the trap laid by the police. The arrested accused have been identified as Gautam Gaikwad (26), a resident of Santosh Nagar, Katraj, Karan Vitthal Kale (25), a resident of Padmavati Colony, Bibvewadi and Rajendra Nade (22).
All three of them who are notorious criminals, have been booked under the MCOCA. However, they were missing since a while. Bharati Vidyapeeth police received information that Gaikwad would be coming to a hospital in Katraj area this afternoon for treatment. The police laid a trap for him but ended up arresting all three of them. The action was taken by a team led by senior police inspector Sardar Patil and Crime Branch Inspector Sanjay Moghle.
