Police arrests two criminals who rob couples visiting isolated locations at Parvati

PUNE: The police have arrested two criminals who were robbing couples who visited isolated places to spend time in Parvati. A couple who had gone to Parvati Hill were stabbed and robbed of ₹1 lakh. The couple was lying in the forest, writhing in pain. They were helped by the police, who were patrolling the area and found them. The arrested accused have been identified as Sachin Arjun Bhise (25) and Chetan Ganesh Yelmeli (22), both of whom are residents of Taljai Mata Colony, Parvati.

 

The two accused are known for robbing couples who visit isolated areas in the Parvati vicinity. Today, around 10 a.m., Shashikant Bansode, along with his wife, came to Parvati Hill. At that time, Bhise and Yelmeli confronted them and stabbed the husband and wife with a knife, severely injuring them. They robbed them of a gold chain, a mobile phone, and cash totally worth ₹ 1 lakh. The couple was lying there writhing in pain, and the police heard them calling out for help. The criminals were then pursued and arrested by police.


A team comprising of senior police inspector Abhay Mahajan, Crime Branch inspectors Vijay Khomane, Chandrakant Kamthe, Employee Kundan Shinde, Gyaneshwar Shinde, Navnath Bhosale, Prakash Margage, Amey Surve, Dayanand Telde Patil, Kishore Dathe, Amit Chive, Prashant Shinde, and Saddam Shaikh took action against the criminals.
