PUNE: An incident of a woman being brutally beaten up at a police chowki by a constable for opposing the parking of a car in a no parking area has come to light in the Mandai Police Chowki. The woman has suffered injuries on her face, which has caused blindness. After BJP Vice President Chitra Wagh intervened in the matter, the police are searching the woman for further investigation.
The constable has been identified as Rahul Shinge and the victim has been identified as Kanchan Dode. Wagh has demanded that Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis should take strict action against the concerned constable. “A person who raises his hand on a woman has no right to work as a constable. Why did the police register an NC instead of an FIR when she had bruises on her body?” Wagh added.
