Police detain minor in relation to the rape and murder of nine-year-old girl

MUMBAI: A shocking case of a nine-year-old girl being raped and strangled to death has come to light in Kalyan. The police have detained the minor boy suspected in the case.

The body of a nine-year-old girl was found in the premises of the New Monica building near Kalyan railway station. The residents informed the Mahatma Phule police station regarding this horrendous incident. The minor girl was sexually assaulted, after which the accused slit her throat and murdered her.

The police have started investigating the case. The police have detained the youth for questioning after suspicion rose against him during the investigation. Police suspect that he had raped the minor girl and killed her by slitting her throat. The prime suspect in this case is a minor.
