Police registers FIR against contractor for death of two-year-old child’s death by drowning in water tank
PUNE: An FIR has been registered against a contractor and another person for the death of a two-year-old girl who drowned in a water tank in the parking area of an under construction building. The incident took place at Mangdewadi on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Ansika Sunil Sahani (2). Sunil Sahani, a resident of Mangdewadi, has lodged a complaint with the police. Sahani was working as a labourer at the construction site. The builder and contractor did not put a lid on the water tank to ensure safety. Since the tank was kept open, the child fell into the tank and drowned. PSI Nitin Jadhav of Bharati Vidyapeeth police station is conducting a probe into the incident.
