PUNE: A postman was killed while crossing the road in front of a company on the Pune-Satara highway in Kelawade (Bhor) village jurisdiction, while a two-wheeler rider was injured. This incident took place on Thursday evening.

According to reports, the deceased postman has been identified as one Ashok Namdev Budrukar (55), a resident of Kelawade, Bhor and the injured rider has been identified as one Siddharth Rajesh Deshmukh (21), a resident of Anand Nagar, Vadgaon Budruk. The latter is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Nasrapur. A complaint in this matter has been filed by one Akshay Ramesh Budrukar.  

The Rajgad Police have registered an FIR in connection with the death of the postman. The Police said that while the postman was crossing the road, Deshmukh's bike, which is from Pune, collided with him and fatally injured him. The residents rushed the postman to the hospital for treatment, however, the doctors reported that he succumbed to his grievous injuries before treatment. The Rajgad police are  further conducting an

investigation.
