Thieves break into an architect's office in Baner and steal valuables along with $800


PUNE:  Thieves stole eight $100 bills, 750 gms of silver cutlery worth ₹30,000, 83 gms of diamond and gold jewellery worth ₹5.47 lakh, and pearl jewellery worth ₹10,000. Also, ₹43,000 cash was looted. The incident took place on August 20 between 8pm and August 21, 8am. An FIR has been registered at the Chhatursrungi police station in this regard.


Ranjit Avinash Wagh (44), a resident of Aundh, has filed a complaint in this case.


According to the police, Ranjit Wagh has an office with his partner where they operate their architecture firm in Baner. Unidentified persons entered the office by breaking the inner lock of the back door of the office building. They stole the diamonds and gold ornaments, silverware, and foreign currency kept in the office and stole cash.


After receiving information about the theft in the office, he contacted the police and gave them the information. The police have conducted a preliminary investigation of the incident and have started further investigation. 


Further investigation is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Bhosle of the Chaturshringi Police Station.
