Unknown assailants open fire at a journalist on Bhigwan Road in Baramati

BARAMATI: The assailants opened fire on a journalist on Bhigwan Road in Baramati. The incident took place on Thursday around 7:30 p.m. The journalist was seriously injured and has been admitted to a hospital in Baramati. The name of the injured journalist is Ganesh Jadhav (30), a resident of Tandulwadi. Today, around 7:30 p.m., journalist Ganesh Jadhav was passing through Bhigwan Road when the assailants fired at him.


The bullet hit Ganesh Jadhav below his stomach. He was admitted to a hospital in Baramati immediately after the shootout. The preliminary estimate from the police is that the shooting took place due to a senior personal dispute. However, the concrete reason for the firing has not yet emerged. Ganesh Jadhav owns a newspaper called Rising Maharashtra, which functions out of Baramati.
